About Tandom

Building the trading company
that was missing.

Tandom is built by founders who've built, scaled and sold supply chain and AI companies backed by investors such as UPS, Mercado Livre and some of Latin America's top venture capital firms, with prior investment banking and private equity experience at institutions such as JPMorgan.

Who we are

Two founders, both hands-on in the operation.

Marcelo Fujimoto and Rafael Pettersen, Tandom's co-founders
Marcelo Fujimoto
Co-founder and CEO

Co-founder and CEO of Mandaê, a logistics startup scaled to US$30M in revenue, US$20M raised, sold to Nuvemshop (the Shopify of LatAm). Backed by UPS, Mercado Libre, DHL Express's former US CEO, Qualcomm Ventures, Monashees, FJ Labs and Valor. At Tandom he leads product and customer relationships.

Rafael Pettersen
Co-founder and CTO

Repeat founder in AI/NLP automation: OutMaze (AI agents) and CosmoBots (AI-operated customer support). 15+ years in engineering and product, 400+ enterprise automations shipped. At Tandom he builds the sourcing engine and the infrastructure.

Why we exist

We lived this problem.

Brazilian mid-market manufacturers buy the same components every month, almost always from the same two or three suppliers. Quoting the world, verifying who is a real factory and running an import from order to dock takes a team only the largest companies have. The result is money on the table.

We rebuilt that operation on AI. The agents do the heavy lifting: they sweep the market, qualify the factory, collect quotes, build the cost breakdown and run the logistics. Your team decides.

How we work

Three commitments we do not negotiate.

Your data stays yours

Specifications, prices and suppliers never circulate to other clients. What is yours does not become our asset.

Our commission comes from you. Never from the supplier.

We represent the buyer. We take no commission, rebate or incentive from any factory, on any order.

The recommendation doesn't know what we make.

Supplier, payment structure, route: the engine recommends on your total cost and your cash flow. Our margin isn't an input. That's why the answer is sometimes not to import at all.
